Custom Enclosure Design for LED Lighting Application
A leading design company in the field of LED Lighting, contacted Deltron Enclosures for assistance with the design and production of a custom enclosure.
Taking into consideration the possible location of the enclosure, we were provided with a remit, detailing the performance expectations of the custom enclosure. This involved environmental and electrical standards which had to be met, including:
- Impact testing - EN 60950
- Vibration and shock testing - EN 60068
- Ingress protection to IP66 - IEC 60529.
- Stress relief testing - EN 60950
- EMC testing - EN 55011/EN 61000.
Utilising our 3D printer and CAD software package we designed and produced a sample for initial evaluation. As part of our production process at Deltron Enclosures, we could encapsulate the PCB in potting compound and offer a fully assembled unit. To assist in the proving process we were then able to conduct Temperature & Humidity tests cycling between -40°C to 105°C at 93%RH within our own test facility before the customer applied for full product testing.
